**I'm half way to my fundraising goal - yeah!
In August I will be walking 60 miles in 3 days with one mission - to help women with undetected breast cancer get detected!
After the sedentary law school life, it's a real joy to have something as motivational as this to get me going. Having lost my own mother to a cancer that was terminal because of late detection, the mantra of "early detection saves lives" really means something to me. I've seen beautiful, courageous, and inspiring women fight this disease, and they have taught me that where there is a will, there is a way.
Participating in this awe-inspiring event is my way of committing myself to making a difference in this overwhelmingly common disease. Walking in the Race for the Cure with the Gimse group alongside Jill and Stef moved me like few things have, and doing this walk seemed like a great opportunity to show my respect and pride.
I applaud you for wanting to take a stand against breast cancer along with me. Your generous donation will take me 1 step closer to my fundraising goal of $1900, and take us all 1 step closer to ensuring that every woman has the knowledge and ability to protect herself.
